Welding Neck Flange,RJ,Class1500,4",Sch80s,ASTMA182 F51 UNS S31803,Sour,ASMEB16.5 Two-Way Stainless Steel Flange
A182 F51 is a duplex stainless steel composed of 21% chromium, 2.5% molybdenum and 4.5% nickel-nitrogen alloy. It has high strength, good impact toughness and good overall and local stress corrosion resistance. The yield strength of duplex stainless steel is twice that of austenitic stainless steel. This feature enables designers to reduce weight when designing products, giving this alloy a more price advantage than 316 and 317L. This alloy is particularly suitable for the temperature range of -50°F/+600°F. For applications beyond this temperature range, this alloy can also be considered, but there are some limitations, especially when applied to welded structures.
Compared with austenitic stainless steel, F51 duplex stainless steel has twice its compressive strength. Compared with 316L and 317L, designers can reduce its weight. F51 duplex stainless steel is especially suitable for the temperature range of -50°F/+600°F. Under strict restrictions (especially for welded structures), it can also be used at lower temperatures.
