Galvanized steel pipes are divided into cold galvanized steel pipes and hot galvanized steel pipes. Cold galvanized steel pipes have been banned, and the latter is also advocated for temporary use by the state. In the 1960s and 1970s, developed countries began to develop new types of pipes, and gradually banned galvanized pipes. China's Ministry of construction and other four ministries and commissions have also been civilized. Since 2000, galvanized pipes have been banned as the water supply pipes. The cold water pipes in new residential areas have rarely been used for galvanized pipes. Some hot water pipes used in some districts are galvanized pipes. Hot-dip galvanized steel pipe is widely used in fire fighting, electric power and expressway.
